As of July 3rd, 2010 The Golden Rule Tattoo of Phoenix, Arizona has been open for one year. Thanks to everyone coming in and getting rad tattoos done. We’re looking forward to many years to come.

We’re proud to say this weekend at the AZ Tattoo Expo the Golden Rule Tattoo walked away with two Trophies. Taylor Ryan placed 3rd for Oriental with a Hanya Mask surrounded by peonies and cherry blossoms. Jason Anthony placed 1st for Portraits with his rendition of Gimli Son of Gloin from the LOTR Movie Trilogy.

Taylor Ryan Is now Full Time at the Golden Rule

After a short guest spot Taylor Ryan has decided to make The Golden Rule Tattoo a more permanent place to work (such a relative term). We’ve recently uploaded a small sample of his work in our artist galleries, so feel free to check it out if you aren’t familiar with his tattooing. We couldn’t be more happy to have him on board!

So, we’ve been up and running for a few months now. Things are off to a great start. We’ve received a very welcoming and supportive response from the neighborhood and surrounding businesses. Thank you, and of course thanks to everyone getting tattooed.

If you’ve been following us on myspace (myspace/thegoldenruletattoo) then you have noticed our daily tattoo specials. Basically, I’ve been rummaging through the internet (sometimes) before we open to find an interesting bit of history or observance and we do little $50 jammers based on whatever I find. So, keep an eye out for those.

During the month of October, however, we’re running a month long special for Breast Cancer Awareness. $50 for the classic pink ribbon. On that note we recently helped out Christina Barnes raise money for Breast Cancer research with her Charity Poker Tournament. Golden Rule donated a $120 gift certificate as one of the prizes and we’ll be doing the same for a second tournament coming up this Sunday October 25th.
